Surrounding yourself with beneficial companions

“Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend. He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter.” [Quran 25:28-29]

Having beneficial companions is very important when it comes to being a Hijabi. You need to surround yourself with people who want to see you succeed and not people who want you to stray away from Islam. Prophet Muhammad warned the believers about this as well.

A good friend is a person that accepts who you are, and someone that pushes you to become better. You need a companion that corrects you when you’re wrong and who will love you for the sake of Allah (SWT).

Choose your friends wisely, Allah warned you in the Quran “And (remember) the Day when the wrong-doer (oppressor, polytheist etc.) will bite on his hand, he will say: ‘Oh!  Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger.  Ah!  Woe to me!  Would that I had never taken so-and-so as a friend!  He indeed led me astray from the Reminder (the Quran) after it had come to me.’” [Quran 25:27]

  1. Safiyyah says:

In the Quran, 43:47 states “Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous”.

On yaumal qiyamah, every friendship and companionship which was for other than the sake of Allah will turn into enmity except for that which was for the Sake of Allah.

May Allah allow us to have companions for the sake of him. Ameen. ❤️
